American Eagle Announces Nonstop Charlotte Service
American Airlines and the Toledo Lucas County Port Authority will announce at a news conference on Monday April 17th at 10 AM that it will launch new nonstop service from Toledo to Charlotte. Flights will begin later this Summer on August 22nd. Flights will be operated by wholly-owned subsidiary PSA Airlines with 50-seat Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft. The airline will offer two daily flights on the route.

American will continue to provide 3 daily flights on its route to Chicago with two of the flights operated by wholly-owned Envoy Airlines (formerly American Eagle Airlines/Simmons Airlines) and one flight operated by Salt Lake City-based SkyWest Airlines.
PSA Airlines last operated to Toledo prior to the US Airways / American Airlines merger as a US Airways Express carrier operating Dornier 328s to Pittsburgh. The airline also previously served Dayton and Indianapolis from Toledo under the USAir Express banner with British Aerospace Jetstream 31 aircraft.
